Verner Griffin Obituary

Verner Cloe Wood Griffin, age 92 of Maysville, GA passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024.

Born on May 5, 1931 in Banks County, GA, Mrs. Griffin was the daughter of the late Howell and Vinson Sanders Wood. She was the widow of Lewis Griffin, a textile worker with Mt. Vernon Mills, a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by a brother, Horace Wood.

Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Jacob; sons, David (Teresa) Webb, Dennis (Cynthia) Webb; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held 2 pm Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at Grey Hill Cemetery.
