Tara Elizabeth Avants

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved daughter Tara Avants on April 5, 2024.  A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered.  She was a graduate of Jackson County High School, known to all her friends, family and teachers as an outgoing, bubbly and energetic girl.

Her favorite activities were going to botanical gardens with her family, Staghorn Lake and Chapel, shopping eating Mexican food and spending time with her children.  She was once a member of Commerce Presbyterian Church.

Note from Tara's sister Tori:  Tara loved being a cheerleader in school and always made sure to have her makeup and hair done before any events. Tara was humerous and had a bubbly personality. She truly lived life to the fullest thru simple pleasures, chatting with friends and family, eating good food, adventuring a big city, and spending time with her kids, Jaiden and Timberly, who she loved more than anything in this world.

Survivors include her parents Bobby and Tamara Jean Sisk, a daughter Timberly Finch and a sister Tori Jean Sisk.  She was preceded in death by a son Jaiden Dickison and grandparents Jimmy and Rosemary Avants.

The family will receive friends Friday evening April 12, 2024 at Ivie Funeral Home from 6 PM to 8 PM.
