Sammie Ann Lena Vandiver Peek, age 91 of Commerce, GA passed away Monday, Aug. 26, 2019 at her residence.
Born on Nov. 5, 1928 in Homer, GA, she was the daughter of the late Sam and Lula Leachman Vandiver and a CNA with BJC Hospital.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Dean Peek and Johnny Ray Peek, both of Maysville; two daughters, Janice Ann Steadman, Commerce, Debra Ruth Hollis, Maysville; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM Friday, Aug. 30, 2019 at Tyrus Baptist Church with the Rev. Bo Whisnant and Rev. Charles Elrod officiating. Burial will follow in Jackson Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
