Royce Stockton

Mr. Royce Stockton, age 72, of Abbeville, LA, formerly Hoschton, GA went to be with his Lord on March 1, 2023.  Mr. Stockton was born July 18, 1950 at Commerce Hospital to the late Lorene Jackson Stockton and Buddie Lee Stockton.  He graduated from Jefferson High School. 

Mr. Stockton was preceded in death by his parents, Buddie Lee and Lorene Stockton and his son, Bryan.

He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years and his soul mate, Vicki Benoit Stockton. He is also survived by his sons, Chadwick Stockton (Juanisha), Michael Stockton (Shelley) and stepson, David (Zac) Winn (Dami).  Brothers Horace Emory Stockton, Buddy Steve Stockton (Ruby), John David Stockton, (Eugena) sisters Joyce Stephens (Burton) and Joan Marie Stockton Emily and a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. 

Mr. Stockton served with the Jackson County Sherriff’s department as deputy for 23 years and worked as a truck driver and with Ryan Homes in Jefferson.  Mr. Stockton and his wife, moved to Abbeville, LA in 2018. 

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 5, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm in the chapel at Ivie Funeral Home with the service beginning 3:00 in the chapel.
