Katherine Starr (McCarty) Brock

Mrs. Katherine “McCarty” Brock passed away surrounded by her loving family at her residence in Hull, Georgia on February 19, 2021.

Born on April 9, 1963 in Athens, GA, Mrs. Brock was the daughter of the late Gilbert McCarty and Willie “Magnus” McCarty. She was married to her loving husband Fred “Pete” Brock who provided for her patiently.

Survivors include son, Roger Brock of North Carolina, daughter, Crystal Horne (Timothy) of Danielsville, Georgia; brother, Ronnie McCarty; sister, Tracy Parker; and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2 pm Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2021 at Ivie Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Burt officiating. Burial will follow in Macedonia Holiness Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Noon until time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
