Johnny Dennis Parr

Johnny Dennis Parr, age 56 of Gillsville, GA passed away Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2020.

Born on July 19, 1964 in Commerce, GA, Mr. Parr was the son of Jerry Coe Parr and the late Helen Laura Hewell Parr. He was of the Baptist faith, and a retired truck driver with Hewell Trucking.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Jo Burke Parr, of the home; sons, Benji (Amy) Ward, Troy (Nicole) Ward; brothers, Terry Keith Parr, Christopher Allen Parr; grandsons, Will Ward, Eli Ward, Gavin Ward, Cohen Ward, Micah Ward, Cobey Ward, Kasen Ward and Caleb Ward.

The family will receive friends 5-8 PM Thursday, Aug. 27, 2020 at Ivie Funeral Home. The family request that social distancing guidelines be followed and masks be worn.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 1349 W. Peachtree St. NE Ste. 1800, Atlanta, GA 30309.

The family will be at the residence.
