Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, announces services for J. Ben Banks, age 78, of Commerce who went home to the Lord January 5th, 2015. Ben was born May 20th, 1936 to the late Arthur Lee and Lucy Cochran Banks of Banks County.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 54 years Eunice W. Banks, Commerce; his son, Tim (Zena) Banks of Maysville; daughter, Tina Richey of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandson, Anthony (Skye) Richey of Utopia, TX, granddaughter, Ashley (Josh) Banks of Athens, Ga., great-grandchildren, Aaron, Jaxson, and Allie Richey of Utopia, Tx; brothers, James O. (Eva) Banks of Athens, Harry L. (Jan) Banks of Lavonia; sister, Caroldine Beck of Commerce; and many other relatives and special friends. Ben was preceded in death by a brother, J.W. Banks of Banks County.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday January 7th, 2015 from 5 pm until 7 pm. A private memorial will be held at a later date.
