Janice Shorten Dyer

Janice Shorten Dyer, age 65 of Maysville, GA passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2023.

Born on Aug. 9, 1957 in Lafayette, Louisiana, Mrs. Dyer was the daughter of the late Jerome D. Shorten and Sadie Mae West. She was a homemaker, of the Baptist faith, and was preceded in death by a sister, Jane Smith.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Joe Cleo Dyer; daughters, Tracy (James) Shubert, Renea (Chris) Maddox, Tonya (Joey) Burdett, Felicia (Andreau) Johnson; sons, Joseph Dyer (Natalie), Danny Joe Dyer; sister, Janet Shorten; brother, Rodney West; many grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 2 pm Saturday, Aug. 12, 2023 at 158 Thyatira Brockton Rd., Jefferson, GA 30549.
