James Bruce Jernigan

James Bruce Jernigan was born on March 13th, 1963 in Atmore, AL. He passed away at age 58 on Monday December 27th, 2021 in Braselton, Georgia.

Bruce was a graduate of Frisco City High School and a long time resident of Monroe County, Alabama. He traveled the country as a pipe fitter and most recently worked for Thompson Construction. Bruce was preceded in death by his father Melvin Odell Jernigan, his mother Barbara Ann Stacey Jernigan, and his grandson Cooper Jernigan.

He is survived by his two children, Bryce Jernigan and Alicia Jernigan, two brothers Randall Jernigan (Rhonda), Matthew Jernigan (Rebecca), one sister Linda Jernigan Gulley (Victor), five grandchildren: Emma Jernigan, Anna Jernigan, Brock Jernigan, Olivia Jernigan and Blane Jernigan, former spouse Rhonda Matthews and former spouse Gail Jernigan, extended family: Clyde Turner, Hope Riggins, Joann Wilkerson (Larry), along with many nieces and nephews, and numerous other friends, family and coworkers.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Chad Presley, Barbara Davis, Charlie Blanchard, Chris Lynthacum, Greg Cobb, Joe Arrants and all of the doctors and nurses at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Braselton, Georgia.

A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
