Fred Swain

Fred Swain, age 90 of Commerce, GA passed away Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Northridge Rehabilitation.

Born on March 9,1930 in Jackson County, GA, Mr. Swain was the son of the late Walter and Annie Lou Swain. He was a retired farmer, of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by his wife Mozell (Payne) Swain and two infant sons Johnny Cole and Edward Swain.

Survivors include a sons, Freddy Gene Swain, Harold Ricky Swain, daughters, Vickie Sunley and Shelby McDaniel; brothers, Joe, Arthur and Edgar Swain; eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held 2 PM Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at Ivie Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Adam Tripp. Burial will take place at a later time at Diamond Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 12:00-2:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to help fund the memorial services for Mr. Swain.
