Flossie (Starnes) Standridge

Flossie Starnes Standridge, age 82 of Talmo, GA, formerly of Commerce, GA, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2021.

Born on Aug. 14, 1938 in Monroe, NC, Mrs. Standridge was the daughter of the late Ott and Kate Aldridge Starnes. She was the widow of Samuel Standridge, Sr. and was preceded in death by sons, Willie Frank Ellis, Bobby Charles Ellis; brothers, Ray Starnes, Mac Starnes, Roy Starnes, Jimmy Starnes; sisters, Frances Couch and Dorothy Stacks.

Survivors include a son, Jerry Jewell Ellis, Watkinsville; daughters, Teresa Ann Lewis, Talmo, Barbara Ellen Ledford, Talmo; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 2 great great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held 2 PM Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021 at Grey Hill Cemetery. 

Although she loved flowers very much, she won't be able to see them now that she's gone. So, In lieu of flowers, take someone you love out to eat because that is something Mrs. Flossie enjoyed. Really spend time with those you love because the years are short and tomorrow is never promised.
