Eddie Vera (Jackson) Westmoreland

Eddie Vera Westmoreland, age 89 of Commerce, GA passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2022.

Born on Aug. 27, 1932 in Maysville, GA, Mrs. Westmoreland was the daughter of the late Fred and Ella Mae Ivie Jackson. She was the widow of Branson Westmoreland, was a seamstress with Blue Bell, and was preceded in death by a son, Chris Westmoreland; brothers, Gene Jackson, J.W. Jackson; sisters, Bessie Loggins, Louise Robins, Ruby Watts, and Lucille Walker.

Survivors include sons, Wayne Westmoreland, Ronson Westmoreland; daughter, Phyllis Farley; brother, Hoyt Jackson; ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2 pm Thursday, Aug. 4, 2022 at Ivie Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Grey Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4-7 pm Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
