David Bruce Dorsey

Mr. David Bruce Dorsey, of Commerce, Georgia passed away at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital, on August 7, 2020. He was the son of Edward and Jeanette Dorsey. 

Mr. Dorsey was a self-employed plumber by trade and was well known throughout the community for his plumbing skills and willingness to help others. He was of the Baptist faith. 

He is survived by his wife Jenny Dorsey of the home, sons, David Lamar Dorsey (Jamie Lee), Justin Cory Dorsey (Courtney), brothers, Edward Dorsey (Jan), Donald Dorsey (Angie), sisters, Linda Pressley (Steve), Carrie Saxon (David), grandchildren Taylor Dorsey, Madison, Paisley and Jeremy Dellinger. 

Mr. Dorsey was proceeded in death by his Father Edward Dorsey and brother Johnny Dorsey. 

Funeral Services will be Wednesday August 12th at Ivie Funeral Home Chapel, the family will receive friends and family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:00 Noon till the time of the service. Interment will follow at Canaan Baptist Church in Danielsville, Georgia. Rev. David Strickland will officiate.
