Veda Ann Smith

Veda Ann Smith, of Nicholson, Georgia, passed away on October 23, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on October 20, 1954, in Monroe, Georgia, and lived a life centered on family, faith, and the bonds she shared with those closest to her.

She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Bradley Smith,  children, Bradley Kyle Smith, Anthony (Jennappel) Lewis Clegg, Joshua Lewis Burt, Brandi Clegg Brock, Dottie Ann Pollard, and Elizabeth (Blake) Veda Seymour. She is also survived by her brothers, Gwen Burt, Jimmy Burt, William (Christy) Burt, and Robert (Joy) Burt, and by her sister, Marlene (Mike). Each of them carries forward cherished memories of Veda and the lasting place she held in their lives.

Veda was preceded in death by her father, John Lewis Burt, and her mother, Rachel Ann Malcolm Burt. Their memory remained part of the foundation of the family she loved so deeply.

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 25, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Ivie Funeral Home, 1053 S. Elm Street, Commerce, Georgia 30529.

Veda Ann Smith will be remembered with affection and gratitude by her family and friends, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
