Susan Worley Manley, a dedicated nurse and beloved member of her community, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2025, in her hometown of Commerce, Georgia. Born on February 20, 1959, Susan lived a life filled with compassion, service, and love for her family and friends.
An accomplished professional, Susan made significant contributions throughout her career in healthcare. She served as a nurse for BJC, Piedmont Urgent Care, and Dr. Sargent. Additionally, she dedicated part of her career to education as a paraprofessional at East Jackson Middle School, Maysville Elementary, and Commerce High School. Her commitment to caring for others was evident in every role she embraced, and she was known for her gentle touch and unwavering dedication to her patients and students alike.
Susan was also a cherished member of the Zidon Baptist Church in Royston, Georgia, where she actively participated in the community, offering her steadfast support and kindness to those around her.
She is survived by her son, Justin Martin; her daughter, Brittany (Will) Moon; her sister, Shirley Martin; and her grandchildren: George Martin, Jocelyn Martin, Hannah Moon, Samuel Moon, and Nathan Moon. Her family will hold her memory dear and carry forward her legacy of compassion and strength.
Susan is preceded in death by her father, George Worley; her mother, Francis Bagwell Worley; her brothers, Jerry Worley and Danny Worley; and her sister, Jo Ann Bond.
A visitation to honor Susan will be held on November 19, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Ivie Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM. Susan will be interred at Grey Hill Cemetery, where she will rest alongside her loved ones.
As her family and friends gather to celebrate her life, they will remember her not only for her professional accomplishments but for the warmth, love, and kindness she shared with everyone she encountered. Susan Worley Manley will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on through her cherished family and the many lives she touched throughout her life.
