Steve Howard Wilson, born on February 23, 1967, in Atlanta, Georgia, passed away on July 12, 2025, in Athens, Georgia. He was a dedicated firefighter with College Park, remembered for his unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of his community.
Steve's life was marked by his passion for fire service, a calling he embraced with pride and honor. His contributions to the safety and support of his fellow citizens left an indelible mark on those who knew him, showcasing not only his professional dedication but also his personal integrity and compassion.
He is survived by his beloved spouse, Robin Doche Wilson; his children, Steven Wilson II, Sean Wilson, and daughter Ashley (Spencer) Chambers; his brother, Sam Wilson; his sister, Amelia Chambers; and his cherished granddaughter. His family remains a testament to the love and care he extended throughout his life.
Steve is preceded in death by his father, Sam T. Wilson, and mother, Claudia Beck Wilson, both of whom he held dear in his heart.
Visitation will be held on July 18, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Ivie Funeral Home located at 1053 S. Elm Street, Commerce, GA 30529. A memorial service will follow on July 19, 2025, commencing at 11:30 AM, also at Ivie Funeral Home.
