Shirley Ann Whitlock

Shirley Ann Whitlock, a cherished member of the Jefferson, Georgia community, passed away on May 15, 2026. Her life was marked by devotion to family, faith, and a genuine warmth that touched all who knew her.

Mrs. Whitlock was employed at Standard Coosa in Jefferson, where her dedication and work ethic earned her the respect of colleagues and friends alike. Beyond her professional life, Shirley found great joy in spending time with her family, sharing moments filled with love and laughter. She also treasured her quiet hours immersed in audio books and reading, finding solace and inspiration in the written word.

A proud member of the Crossroads Worship Center Church of God in Commerce, Georgia, Shirley's faith was a cornerstone of her life. Her spiritual commitment provided strength, comfort, and a path of compassion and kindness that she extended to everyone around her.

She is survived by her daughter Jennifer McCulloch of Jefferson, Georgia; her sister Geneva McCarty; as well as grandchildren Heather McCulloch, Savannah Kitchens (John), Adrian Loggins (Ashley), and seven great-grandchildren, all of whom carry forward her legacy of love and family unity. Roy Whitlock, her former husband and lifelong friend, remains a treasured part of her life’s story.

Shirley is preceded in death by her brother Jack Dill, special friend Phil Davis, and parents Bynum Dill and Hulda Standrige Dill.

Visitation to honor Shirley Ann Whitlock will be held on May 18, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Ivie Funeral Home, located at 1053 S. Elm Street, Commerce, GA 30529. Following visitation, a funeral service will take place at the same location from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM.

As family and friends gather to celebrate Shirley’s life, they remember her not only for her unwavering faith and dedication but also for her gentle spirit and the enduring love she bestowed upon her family and community. Her memory will forever be cherished by those who were blessed to know her.
