Born on February 8, 1962, in Clarkesville, Georgia, Roy was a dedicated lineman and supervisor with UTec, where he committed many years of his life to serving the community and ensuring the safety and reliability of the electrical services that countless families relied upon.

Roy's legacy lives on through his loving family. He is survived by his devoted mother, Mary Kathleen Scroggs Clark, and his beloved wife of 42 years, Janet Lavonne Robinson Clark. Roy also leaves behind his brothers, Wyman Clark and Richard Clark, as well as several nieces and nephews who deeply cherished their time spent with him. Their love and affection for Roy were a testament to the kind and compassionate person he was.

Roy's life was marked by the loving relationships he built and the positive impact he had on those around him. He was a man who embodied dedication in his work and showed unwavering support for his family. He will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

Preceding him in death were his father, Jay Lloyd Clark, and two siblings, Randall Lee Clark and Deborah Lynn Whitlock. Their memories remain a guiding light for the family as they reflect on the bonds that unite them.

A funeral service will be held 11 am Thursday, Feb. 26, 2026 at Ivie Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dakota Stockton officiating. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, Lula, GA. The family will receive friends 4-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
