Rodney Alford

Rodney Alford, born on March 19, 1984, in Demorest, Georgia, passed away on April 17, 2026. A devoted son, father, brother, and steadfast member of his community, Rodney lived a life marked by integrity, hard work, and kindness.

Rodney dedicated much of his professional life as a clerk with Dollar General, where he was known for his reliability, attention to detail, and his welcoming presence to customers and colleagues alike. His commitment to his work exemplified his strong work ethic and sincere desire to contribute positively to those around him.

Rodney embraced the teachings of the Baptist church, which provided him spiritual grounding and comfort throughout his life. His faith was a guiding light, shaping his values and the compassionate way he interacted with others.

Rodney is survived by his loving mother and step-father, Wanda (Eddie) Gee Hamons; his cherished daughter, Abby Robertson Alford; and his devoted brother, Edward Hamons. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews who will fondly remember his warmth and generosity. Rodney’s father, Bill Alford, preceded him in death.

Rodney’s family and friends will remember him for his gentle nature, unwavering loyalty, and the simple joys he found in everyday moments. His legacy will endure in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
