Peggy Ann (Cotton) Welborn

Peggy Ann Cotton Welborn age 74 of Homer, Georgia passed away on Thursday April 4, 2024 surrounded by her family at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

She was born on January 25, 1950, to the late Morgan & Grace Cotton in the old hospital in Habersham County, Georgia now known as the Charm House. She was a loving wife and a devoted Nona, Sister, and Aunt. She was a member of Homer Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents Morgan & Grace, her brother Larry Cotton, sister Sheila Watts, and Niece Kelly Savage.

She enjoyed her time on this earth shopping, collecting rooster themed items, relaxing with her dogs, reading her bible, growing flowers in her yard, and listening to gospel music.  Her favorite things in her spare time in addition to her family was watching Andy Griffith and Little House on the Prairie reruns and she held local fame for her homemade Meatloaf meals.

She leaves on this earth the Family that loved and adored her including the father of her children Dwayne Welborn. Sons and Daughters-in-Law, Raymond and Lisa Welborn, Andrew and Amanda Welborn; Grandchildren, Dawson Welborn and Laney Boswell, Colton Carter, Ethan, Logan, Cayden, Kaylee Anderson; and a Great-Grandson, Remington Carter.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
