Patsy Ann McGill, a dedicated poultry worker at Fieldale Farms, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2025, in her hometown of Commerce, Georgia, where she was born on September 13, 1947. Known for her steadfast commitment to her work and her strong ties to the community, Patsy left an indelible mark on those who knew her.
She was a loving mother to her two sons, Casey McGill and Ty McGill, who cherish the memories of her nurturing spirit and unwavering support. Patsy is also survived by her sister, Sara Jo Whitehead, who shared many treasured moments with her throughout their lives.
Patsy's legacy is further enriched by the memory of her deceased loved ones, including her parents, Howard William and Elizabeth Armstrong Carey, who laid the foundation for her values. She was preceded in death by her beloved spouse, Charles Edward McGill, and her infant son, Charles Jason McGill. Additionally, she mourned the loss of her brothers, Ray Carey and Ansel Carey, as well as her sisters, Shirley Etris and Faye Carey.
An active member of the Baptist faith, Patsy's life was characterized by her devotion not only to her family but also to her beliefs. Friends and family will gather to honor her memory during a visitation on September 26, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, followed by a funeral service on September 27, 2025, at 11:00 AM, both held at Ivie Funeral Home located at 1053 S. Elm Street, Commerce, GA. Burial will follow at Hudson River Baptist Church Cemetery.
Patsy Ann McGill will be fondly remembered for her kindness, strength, and the love she shared with all who were fortunate enough to be a part of her life.
