Patricia (Adams) Scarbrough

May 25, 1954 — December 4, 2021

Athens, Georgia

Patricia Hill-Scarborough, 67, passed away Saturday, December 4th, 2021 due to an extended illness at her residence in Athens, Georgia.

Patricia was born in Buckhead, Georgia on May 26, 1954 to the late Bessie Adams and Garnette Adams. In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Hershel Hill II; grandson, Casey Lee Streetman; sisters, Minnie “Bee” Sorrows, Idabelle Sears, and Willie Farmer.

Patricia passionately cared for others, leading her into a career in healthcare. She was a devoted mother to her children and wife to her late husband, Johnny Herschel Hill II. Patricia’s hobbies included gardening and cooking. Patricia moved closer to her children in recent years and the surviving family is grateful for the opportunity to reminisce old memories, to laugh, cry, and forge new memories as well. Patricia will be missed dearly but her family is comforted knowing she is in her heavenly home, awaiting the day they will be reunited.

Patricia is survived by daughters Tracie Streetman of Danielsville, Christy Hill of Ila, Misty and husband Joe Geiger of Danielsville; son, Johnny Hershel “Tripp” Hill III of Athens; sisters, Sarah Martin, Lucy Ogden, Ruby Watson, Jeannie Dempsey, Sarah Ann Turner, and Pearly Score; brothers, Johnny Adams and JC Adams; along with nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Patricia’s children will share plans with family and friends shortly on a ceremony to lay her ashes to rest next to her late husband, Johnny Hershel Hill II.
