Opal Gertrude Couey Stevens, age 93 of Athens, GA passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2022.
Born on Feb. 16, 1929 in Hawkinsville, GA, Mrs. Stevens was the daughter of the late Ollie and Odessa Nobles Couey. She was the widow of Homer Bostic, a banker with Mercy University, and was preceded in death by brothers, Bud Couey and Bobby Couey.
Survivors include sons, Mike Joyner, Doug Stevens; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held 2 pm Friday, July 1, 2022 at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Macon, GA.
