Ivie Funeral Home announces services for Nomie Lee Carter, 80, of Maysville who died early Wednesday morning at her residence after an extended illness. Born in Banks Co., she was the daughter of the late Lonnie Morgan and Rilla Ingram Sorrow and was the widow of the late D.S. Carter, Jr. She was also predeceased by granddaughters, Heather Fowler and Joy Fowler Malner. Survivors include her daughters, June Brock and Susan Davis, both of Maysville; 5 Grandchildren; 10 Great Grandchildren; Nieces and Nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 11 AM from The Grove with Revs. John Wood and Tommy Hefferman officiating. Interment will follow in the Grey Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6-8 PM and at other times at the residence located at 1497 Yarbrough-Ridgeway Rd. in Maysville.
