Myrtle Jeane Chappell Edwards

Myrtle Jeane Chappell Edwards, a beloved homemaker, passed away on July 2, 2024. She was known for her dedication to her family her passion for cooking meals that brought loved ones together. Myrtle's life began on December 28, 1937, in a small town where she later pursued her education and graduated from Beulah Heights Bible College in Atlanta, Georgia.

Throughout her life, Myrtle exemplified the qualities of a devout Christian and a faithful servant in the church. Her proudest accomplishment was being an unselfish person who readily shared her unwavering faith with those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and devotion that will be cherished by all who knew her.

Myrtle will be deeply missed by her surviving family and friends, including her daughter Corinne (Charles) Lee, son Nelson Edwards, 14 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. She will live forever In the memories of those closest to her, Myrtle will be remembered as a pillar of strength and love.

Among those who preceded her in death are her husband Lee Edgar Edwards, father Rufus Chappell, mother Ida Byrum Chappell, sons Mark and Kent Edwards, daughter Jennifer Edwards, brother Rufus Chappell, sister Inez Thomas, and grandson Alex Edwards. Their hearts now carry the warmth of the moments shared with Myrtle throughout the years.

As we bid farewell to a cherished soul who touched so many lives with grace and compassion, may we find solace in the memories of Myrtle Jeane Chappell Edwards' enduring love and wisdom. A memorial service will be held 4 pm Sunday, Aug. 4, 2024 at at Hamilton Mill Christian Church, 3809 Sardis Ch. Rd., Buford, GA 30519.
