Michael Lewallen

Michael Lewallen, born on September 28, 1956, in Athens, Georgia, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2026, in his hometown. A dedicated millworker, Michael lived a life marked by hard work, commitment, and deep ties to the community of Athens.

He was the beloved son of the late Felton Floyd and Lillie Ayers Lewallen, who laid the foundation for the values he carried throughout his life. Michael was also preceded in death by his cherished spouse, Paulette Parr Lewallen, who shared many years of companionship and love with him.

Surviving Michael are his two devoted sons, Paul Lewallen and Brad Lewallen, who were a continual source of pride and joy for him. He is also survived by his loving sister, Jean Parson. Michael’s legacy extends further through the affection and admiration of his eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, who brought happiness and light to his later years.

Throughout his life, Michael Lewallen was known for his steadfast character and his unwavering dedication to his family and work. His presence will be deeply missed by those who knew him, but his memory will endure in the hearts of his family and friends. He remained close to Athens, the place of his birth and passing, reflecting a lifelong connection to his roots.
