Mary Frances (Pelfrey) Gearing

Mary Frances Gearing passed away at her residence Saturday Jan. 22, 2022.  She was a retired health care worker and the daughter of the late Carter Tate and Eva Mae Payne Pelfrey.

Survivors include her husband Bobby Gene Gearing Sr. of the home, a son Bobby Gene Gearing Jr. of Commerce and a daughter Barbara Hedrick of Nicholson.  8 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren also survive.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday at 2 PM from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with Rev. Russ Brown officiating.  Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Athens, Ga.

The family will receive friends in the funeral home Wednesday at 11 AM Wednesday until the funeral hour of 2 PM.
