Marci Ann Callaway

Marci Ann Callaway, a cherished homemaker, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2026, in her beloved hometown of Athens, Georgia. Born on February 2, 1965, she brought warmth and love into the lives of all who knew her during her time on this earth.

Her nurturing spirit and dedication as a homemaker provided comfort and support to her children and many others whose lives she touched. Marci had an innate ability to create a welcoming home, filled with laughter and joy, which served as a gathering place for friends and family alike.

She is survived by her two beloved children, Tristan Elijah Callaway and Laila Nichole Callaway, who carry forward her legacy of kindness and compassion. Marci also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, each of whom knew her as a source of encouragement and love.

Marci was preceded in death by her father, Jack Dempsey Alford; her mother, Rosetta Garrett Hardigree; and her brothers, Dennis Jack Alford and Billy Ray Alford. While they have departed this world, their memories and the love they shared continue to resonate in the hearts of those who remain.

In celebrating Marci’s life, we remember her unwavering devotion to her family and her role in enriching the lives of those around her. Her spirit will forever be a guiding light to her children and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
