Laura Frances Miller

Laura Frances Miller, born on June 23, 1968, in Sacramento, California, peacefully passed away on April 5, 2026, in Athens, Georgia. She will be remembered with deep respect and affection by many whose lives she touched.

Laura's journey through life was marked by a profound dedication to her family and friends. She was a devoted mother to her daughters, Natalee Steed, Amy Miller-Marcum, Sarah Peace, and Nicole Miller. Her nurturing spirit extended beautifully to her grandchildren—Rylee Steed, Reagan Steed, Kathleen Miller, Matthew Metcalf, Brantley Peace, Emma Peace, Layla Peace, and Scott Peace—each of whom held a special place in her heart.

Her bond with her siblings, Shawn Walker, Tammy Navarro, Marcie Franco, and Sherry Forsyth, was cherished, as was her connection with lifelong friend Teresa Desouza. 

She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Dorothy Benfield Walker, whose memory Laura held dear throughout her life.

Laura's warmth, kindness, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the family she loved and the community she enriched. She is mourned by several nieces and nephews who fondly remember her guidance and care.

As we honor Laura’s memory, we reflect on her life with gratitude and reverence, celebrating a woman who exemplified love, strength, and resilience. Her gentle presence leaves an indelible mark on all fortunate enough to have known her, and her spirit will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.

A cremation will be taking place per the deceased wishes.
