Larry James Whisnant

Larry James Whisnant, age 68 of Jefferson, GA, passed away on Monday, Oct. 25, 2021 at his residence.

Born on May 27, 1953 in Commerce, GA, Mr. Whisnant was the son of the James Franklin Whisnant and the late Dovie Mae Whisnant. He was a pulpwooder with Whisnant Logging and was preceded in death by a son, Phillip Whisnant; brother, Mike Whisnant; sisters, JoAnn Whisnant and Lisa Mathis.

Survivors include his spouse, Edith Whisnant; sons, Bo (Tammy) Whisnant, Skeeter (Laura) Whisnant, Mark (Monica) Whisnant; daughter, Teresa Ann (Kenny) Owens; daughter-in-law, Tracy Whisnant; brothers, Steve Whisnant, Wayne Billings; sister, Jamie Lynn Brown; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 3 pm Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021 at Tyrus Baptist Church with Rev. Bo Whisnant and Rev. Wes King officiating.
