Joe Wylie Scott, Jr., a respected sales representative with State Water Heater, passed away on May 20, 2025, in Commerce, Georgia. He was born on December 28, 1934, in Decatur, Georgia, to the late Joe Scott, Sr. and Francis Bryant Scott.
Joe proudly served his country in both the Navy and the Marine Corps, exemplifying a commitment to service that mirrored his dedication to his family and career. His professional journey at State Water Heater allowed him to foster many relationships, characterized by trust and mutual respect.
He is survived by his loving spouse, Ann Johnston Scott, who stood by his side throughout their years together. Joe's legacy continues through his son, Rob Scott, and daughter-in-law, Amy, along with his cherished daughter, Mari Anderson, and son-in-law, Robert; and a brother, Author Scott. His family is further blessed with eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, who will fondly remember him as a caring and guiding presence in their lives.
Joe was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Gregory Scott Serage, whose memory remains a cherished part of the family’s story.
