Joe Cleo Dyer

Joe Cleo Dyer, a beloved member of his community and a dedicated self-employed construction worker, passed away on February 18, 2026, at the age of 72, in Jefferson, Georgia. Born on February 6, 1954, in Duluth, Georgia, Joe lived a life filled with hard work, family values, and a commitment to his craft.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Ferd Dyer and Bonnie Lee Moore Dyer; his wife, Janice Dyer; sisters, Pat Dyer, Sue Givens, Linda Knight, Penny Griffin; brothers, Sandy Dyer and Mark Dyer. 

Joe was a proud father to two sons, Danny Joe Dyer, Joseph Dyer, and daughters Renea Maddox, Tonya Burdett, Felicia Vincent, and Tracy Shurbet. His legacy continues through his children, each of whom carries a part of his spirit and values forward. Joe was also survived by brothers, Buck Dyer, Stanley Dyer, Jeff Dyer; sister, Judy Wright; and many grand and great-grandchildren.

Throughout his life, Joe was known for his unwavering integrity and determination. He touched the lives of many, and his absence will be felt deeply by all who knew him. Joe Cleo Dyer's life was a testament to hard work and dedication, and he will be remembered with utmost respect and love by his family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at the residence 158 Thyatira Brockton Rd. Jefferson, Ga. 30549 at 2:00 PM Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026.
