The daughter of the late Dillard Watkins and Jewel Miller, Jo Ann grew up surrounded by the traditions and values that would shape her character and guide her throughout her life. A resident of Georgia for her entire life, Jo Ann’s warm spirit and steadfast presence left an enduring impression on her community and loved ones.

Jo Ann dedicated her life to her family as a homemaker—a role she embraced with immeasurable love and unwavering commitment. Her legacy continues through her children: Edmon (Ginger) Dempsey, Dillard (Janet) Westmoreland. She is also survived by her brother, Miguel Dempsey, and her grandchildren, Jessica (Matt) Dempsey, Elizabeth (Alex) McClure, and Jonathon (Kaylee) Dempsey. Jo Ann’s influence reaches across generations, lovingly remembered by her great-grandchildren, Wesley Cain, Brynlee Brooks, Lennox Dempsey, and Major Dempsey.

Jo Ann was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Dillard Watkins and Jewel Miller, and mourned as well by all who remember her great-grandchild, McKinley Monti.
