Jessie Ingram Artist, a cherished homemaker and beloved member of her family, passed away on October 6, 2025, at the age of 63, surrounded by her many loved ones in Colbert, GA. Born on August 15, 1962, in Commerce, GA, Jessie’s life was a testament to her dedication to her family and her unwavering faith.
A proud graduate of Clayton State University, Jessie combined her education with her natural nurturing spirit to create a warm and loving home for her family over the years. Her passion for her role as a homemaker was evident in her ability to bring warmth and care to her household, and she devoted herself fully to her family.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Howard Artist of Colbert, who was her steadfast partner throughout their journey together. Jessie is also survived by her daughter, April Artist her partner Barbara of Danielsville, along with her four beloved grandchildren, Katie (Rico Moore) Ingram, Ricky (Bubba) Ingram, Samantha Ingram, Ethan Fleeman, all of Colbert, GA and one cherished great-grandchild, Evelyn Mae Ingram-Moore. Each family member held a special place in Jessie’s heart, and her love for them was profound and enduring.She was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Ingram and Phillip Ingram and a sister Frankie Looney.
Jessie's spirit will be honored during a visitation on October 9, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM at Ivie Funeral Home, located at 1053 S. Elm Street, Commerce, GA 30529.
Jessie was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Ingram and Ina Belle Hardy Ingram, who have undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms in eternity.
The memories of Jessie Ingram Artist will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Her legacy of love and devotion serves as an inspiration to her family and the community.
