Jerrye Evonne Coots Sullens, a respected self-employed truck driver who dedicated 25 years of her life to the open road, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2026, in Athens, Georgia. Born in Cheyenne, Oklahoma, on November 3, 1949, Jerrye's life was marked by her unwavering strength and determination.
Throughout her career, she became known not only for her driving skills but also for her remarkable ability to connect with people from all walks of life. She embraced the freedom that came with her profession, often sharing stories of her journeys and the friendships she forged along the way.
Jerrye is survived by her beloved children: Jeremy (Tonya) Hudson, Deborah Ashley, Cat Hudson, Candi Hudson, and Denise Bluhm. Her legacy also lives on through her 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, who fondly remember her as a loving matriarch. She is also survived by her brothers, Wendell Coots and Pete Coots, and her sister, Patti Coots, along with several nieces and nephews who cherished their time with her.
Jerrye was preceded in death by her parents, Buddy Coots and Laverna Bryant Coots, her husband, Clifton James Sullens of 41 years, and two of her children, Robert Hudson and Tammy Healan Brock. Their memories remain an integral part of her story, reflecting the love and bonds that shaped her life.
