Jerrell Hansel Minish, a caring and loving husband, father, son, brother, and most importantly Pop-Pop, passed away on February 25, 2026, in Athens, GA. Born on December 23, 1955, in Commerce, GA, he lived a life that embodied dedication and warmth.
Jerrell enjoyed a fulfilling career, retiring from Hardy Construction, where his contributions were appreciated by both colleagues and clients. His life was punctuated by simple pleasures, including his love for Diet Coke and the Georgia Bulldogs.
Family was at the heart of Jerrell's existence. He married Michele Hulsey Minish over 29 years ago, creating a foundation of love that would carry through their lives together. Their family flourished with the addition of daughters Celeste (Marcus), Kelly, Jennifer, and son Parker, each one bringing a unique light into his life. Jerrell was also a proud grandfather to his grandchildren Nathan, Zay, and Jayden, and relished his role as a great-grandfather to Jaxson, Hensley, and Joey.
He is also survived by his tight-knit circle of siblings including Brenda Boring, Jackie (Tommy) Griffith, Thomas Minish, and Vickie (Chris) Kittle. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.
Jerrell was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Hansel Minish and Sara Frances Hardy Dailey, as well as his sisters Jean Crumley, Connie Archer, and Jimmie Hulsey. They will forever be remembered as part of his cherished legacy.
Visitation for Jerrell will be held on March 2, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Ivie Funeral Home, located at 1053 S. Elm Street, Commerce, GA. A memorial service will follow on March 3, 2026, at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Jerrell Hansel Minish will be deeply missed by all who knew him, remembered for his warmth, care, and unwavering love for his family and friends.
