Janie D. Taylor

Janie D. Taylor, a beloved caretaker, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2026, in Gainesville, Georgia, at the age of 70. Born on February 15, 1955, in Atlanta, Georgia, Janie dedicated her life to the compassion and well-being of others. Her nurturing spirit and ability to provide comfort to those in need exemplified her deep commitment to her career as a caretaker.

Janie is survived by her son, Thomas Swigger, and his partner Angela Jarrard; her sister, Rebecca Taylor; and her cherished grandchildren, Parker Swigger, Levi Swigger, Audrey Swigger, and Ciara Jarrard. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and strength that will be fondly remembered by her family and the countless lives she touched throughout her career.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Thomas and Joyce Estelle Plant, and her son, James McLarty Lopes. Janie's unwavering devotion to her family and her work has left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Her memory will continue to inspire and comfort those she has left behind.
