Mr. James Lord, age 75, of Danielsville, GA passed away on April 24th, 2026 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born on July 21st, 1950 in Commerce, GA to the late Jesse Almond Lord and Ruby Mae Jones Lord, James was a beacon of light, hope and love to all who knew him.
Mr. Lord was of the Baptist faith and was a construction worker with Aldridge Inc.
Along with his parents, James is preceded in death by his spouse Bessie Dove Lord with whom he shared 47 years of devotion and love. He is also preceded by his brothers, Jesse Roger Lord and Tommy Lord, and his sister Rosa Lee Brown.
Mr. Lord is survived by his loving family that includes his sister, Verner Sue David, step-sons, Bobby (Vicki) Hart, and Randy (Sheryl) Hart. He is survived by his grandchildren, James Everhart, Brittney Mathis and Ashley Rucker. Four Great-Grandchildren also survive. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and his special friends Barbara Dove and April Ingram Artist.
Funeral Services for Mr. James Lord will take place on Tuesday, April 28th, 2026 in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home at 2:00PM with Rev. Dakota Stockton officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel Church Cemetery, Danielsville, GA. Gentlemen honored as pallbearers will be James Everhart, Mike Hattaway, Anthony Mathis, Jonathan Brown, Clayton David and Kelly Lord. The family will receive friends at a visitation taking place on Monday, April 27th, 2026 at the funeral home from 5:00PM to 8:00PM.
