Howard Douglas Bunn, Jr., a dedicated cab driver and beloved family man, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2024, in Braselton, Georgia. Born on May 1, 1954, in Atlanta, Georgia, Howard was a cherished member of his community and a source of warmth and kindness to all who knew him.
During his career as a cab driver with Rivercity Car Service, Howard became well-known for his friendly demeanor and willingness to go the extra mile for his passengers. He took pride in providing excellent service, establishing lasting connections with many individuals who rode in his cab. His sense of humor and genuine care for others left an indelible mark on countless lives.
Howard is survived by his beloved spouse, Charlsie Page Bunn, and their loving children: Michael Shane Bunn, Stephen Robert Bunn, Howard Douglas Bunn, III, Christopher Harris, Millie Elizabeth Ballard, and Hillary Rose Grey. Also surviving is a brother, Johnny Neal Bunn of Lula, GA; aunt, Brenda Smith of Locust Grove, Ga. and a niece, Angela Aaron of Commerce, Ga. Howard was also a proud grandfather to five grandchildren and a doting great-grandfather to a number of great-grandchildren. His family was his pride and joy, and he cherished the time spent with them.
He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Douglas Bunn, and his mother, Maggie Lee Satterwhite Smith, brother, Danny Ray Bunn, a sister Mary Ellen Casper and a brother Tommy Lewis Bunn. Howard's legacy will continue through the love and memories shared by his family and friends, who will remember him as a generous, spirited individual whose life was marked by his commitment to those he loved.
