Geraldine Lacey

Geraldine Lacey, of Commerce, Georgia, passed away on October 25, 2026, in Commerce at the age of 93. She was born on February 24, 1933, in Homer, Georgia.

Mrs. Lacey was a homemaker whose life was centered on home, family, and faith. She was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church, and that faith remained an important part of her life through the years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur J. Watson and Zora Acree Watson; by her husband, Royal Lacey; by her daughter, Lisa Lacey Gary; by her brothers, Loyd Watson and Thomas Watson; and by her sisters, Florence Duncan, Elise Sailors, and Jeanette Bray.

Geraldine’s family continues to cherish her memory. She is survived by her grandson, Joseph (Natalie) Gary. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren, Vivian Gary, Liliana Gary, and Josiah Gary, who carry forward her family’s legacy with love and remembrance. Also, a number of nieces and nephews survive.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Jackson Memorial Gardens, 6825 Jefferson Road, Commerce, Georgia 30529.

Geraldine Lacey will be remembered with love by those who knew her and by the family who held an enduring place in her heart.
