Geraldine Carithers

Geraldine Carithers, age 89 was born on September 22, 1936.

She is preceded by her husband, Willard Carithers and by her mother and father, Nelson and Annie Elizabeth Richey Hollifield. She is also preceded in death by her siblings, Charles Hollifield (Helen) and a sister, Betty Mize; brothers, Joel Hollfield and Jimmy Hollifield; and a daughter, Rosanne Sanders.

Survivors include special grandchildren, Crystal and Richard Cherry.

A daughter, Suzanne (Jim, deceased) Ferguson and her children, Melissa Bloodworth and her children, Justin Countryman, Damon Countryman, Cyrus Countryman, Elijah Powell; Nichole and Mark Lawrence and their daughter, Grace Collette Lawrence.

A son, Leslie (Elaine) Carithers and his children, Will (Krystin) Carithers and son, Cash Carithers; Taylor (Kerri) Carithers and their son, Hudson Carithers.

Her last surviving daughter, Julie (Michael Carmon, deceased) Vandiver (THE BABY) and her son, Michael Stephenson; and her daughter, Brittany Stephenson with five great-grandchildren, Aidan, Jax, River, and Dallas Grace Nichole Stephenson, and Lucas Stephenson.

Geraldine had many close friends, Faye Lindsey and Mildred and Vernon Manders. She was also an angel on earth. Her God and Jesus sustained her as she was shown faith between her and her Jesus.

She will  sadly and truly be missed by all her loved ones.

A cremation will be taking place per the deceased wishes on June 22, 2026.
