He is survived by his beloved sons, Anthony S. Yancey and Richard Yancey, along with their wives, Christine Yancey and Paige Yancey. The strength and enduring ties of the Yancey family are a direct testament to his character and devotion.

Elmer is preceded in death by his father, Euell Yancey, his sister Eimagene Curby, and his sister Christine. Though they are no longer with us, their memories remain treasured and their influences continue through Elmer's legacy and the stories that family will cherish forever.

During his later years, Elmer received special care and companionship from Catherine Collier, who was not only his caregiver but also his friend. The family extends heartfelt appreciation to Catherine for her compassion and dedication, which brought comfort and companionship to Elmer’s life.
