Donna Lou Hooper

Donna Lou Hooper, aged 62, of Commerce, Georgia, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2025. Born on April 3, 1963, in Atlanta, Georgia, she was a cherished wife, mother, and grandmother.

Donna retired from Baker and Taylor, where her contributions left a lasting impact on her colleagues and the company. After retiring, she embraced new opportunities, allowing her to devote time to her proudest accomplishment, her family.

She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Kenny Hooper; her daughter, Melanie (Keith) Wilson; and her two sons, Kenneth (Julie) Hooper and Kevin (Ashley) Hooper. Donna took great joy in her family, becoming a doting grandmother to nine grandchildren and a great-grandmother to two great-grandchildren. Her legacy of love and support will be cherished by all who knew her.

Donna also leaves behind her sister, Shawn Stowe, whose bond was strengthened through shared memories and mutual support.

She is predeceased by her parents, Donald and Francis Cowart Stowe, and her siblings Gail Sullivan and Mickey Ward. Their memories live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved them.

The Family will receive friends from 4:00PM to 7:00PM on Monday, July 7th, 2025 at Ivie Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 8th, 2025 at 11:00AM in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Howington Cemetery. 

As we remember Donna Lou Hooper, we celebrate her life, her unwavering faith, and the profound love she brought into the lives of so many. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
