Donald E. Rhodes

Mr. Donald E. Rhodes, age 88, of Commerce, GA went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Mr. Rhodes was born in Kokmo, Indiana to the late Wayne and Ruth Cook Rhodes. He was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church and a Korean War veteran of the United States Army.

Mr. Rhodes retired a lead mechanic from MeadWestvaco. His favorite times were playing cards with friends and family and golfing with his son.

Mr. Rhodes is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marilyn S. Rhodes: son Cajen (Shae) of Newnan: daughters, Kelley Rhodes of Smyrna, Christi Beck (Leon) of Flowery Branch and 6 Grandchildren, Andrew, Joshua, Amanda, Heather, Cason and Brinley.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 29, at 2pm at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 498 Prince Avenue, Athens, GA. Funeral services will began at 3pm.
