David Horace Swain

David Horace Swain, age 61 of Colbert, GA passed away on Thursday, Feb. 10, 2022.

Born on Oct. 29, 1960 in Athens, GA, Mr. Swain was the son of Juanita Bowen Swain and the late Walter Swain, Jr. He was a self-employed welder and was preceded in death by brothers, Calvin Swain and Stanley Swain.

Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Booth Swain; sons, Lamar (Joy) Cowart, Christopher (Brittany) Mitchell, Jonathan (Leslie) Mitchell; daughter, Maranda Garrett; sisters, Becky Roberts, Annie Chamlee; ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 3 pm Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2022 at Ivie Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jack Bowen and Rev. Curtis Edwards officiating. A cremation will follow the service. The family will receive friends 12 noon until the funeral hour Tuesday at the funeral home.
