Clarice Parkes, born on May 13, 1950, in Buford, Georgia, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2026 in Danielsville, Georgia. Her life, which spanned seventy-six years, was marked by kindness, devotion, and steadfast love for her family and community.

Clarice's journey began in Buford, where she was welcomed into the world by her parents, the late Joel Pierce Smith and Callie Mae Green Christopher. She was preceded by her sisters, Elaine Smith, Cindy Roberts, Pat Smith, Jerrie Grier, Ione Smith, and a grandchild, Leeland Parks Martin. Though these cherished members of Clarice's family have passed before her, their memories remained dear to her heart throughout her life and now she joins them in heaven.

A loving wife, Claire first shared her life with her late spouse, Ronald "Ronnie" Theria Parks. Their time together was filled with love and fond memories. Clarice was a devoted mother, leaving behind her son, Greg (Sharon) Parks, and her daughter, Celita (Chris Housley) Fritch. Her children were a source of immense pride and joy, as she nurtured them with unwavering love. Clarice also found joy and delight in the lives of her grandchildren: Patrick Parks, Kaylee Parks, and Logan Fritch. Their accomplishments and happiness brought her great fulfillment. she also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special in her heart and benefited from her wisdom and kindness.

Clarice's legacy is reflected in the bonds she created and the lives she touched. Her strength, steadfast love, and incredible sense of humor were constants for her family and friends. Whether offering guidance, a listening ear, a warm embrace, or a sarcastic remark, she was always there when needed. Clarice's memory will continue to inspire all who were privileged to know her.

Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Clarice Parks are invited to celebrate her life at Ivie Funeral Home, located at 1053 S. Elm Street, Commerce, GA 30529, on August 15th, 2026 at a visitation from 11:00AM to 12:00PM. followed by a memorial service at 12:00PM.

As we mourn Clarice's passing , we also honor her life- a life characterized by grace, empathy, and unwavering devotion to her loved ones. She will be missed deeply but remembered always, her influence living on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
