Christina Lynn Spivey

Christina Lynn Spivey, born on July 11, 1976, in Commerce, Georgia, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2026, in Athens, Georgia. Christina’s life was one filled with devotion to family, rich memories, and unwavering kindness to those fortunate enough to know her.

She was the cherished daughter of the late William Frank Lowery and Hattie Mae Jarrell, who mourns her passing. From a young age, Christina displayed a gentle spirit and an innate desire to care for others, qualities that would define her roles as a daughter, wife, mother, and friend throughout her life.

Christina found profound partnership and love with her fiancé, Dale Leroy. Together, they built a life guided by mutual respect, laughter, and support—values she carried over into her relationships with her children and all those around her.

Her legacy is most lovingly continued by her mother, Hattie Mae Jarrell,  son, James Shiver, and her daughter, Krystal (JD) McCallister, and her grandchild, Jesse McCallister who survive her. Christina devoted herself selflessly to her children, always offering encouragement, open arms, and steadfast support in even the smallest moments of their lives. She took great pride in their accomplishments and found true joy in their happiness.

Christina’s journey through life touched many. Whether sharing in quiet moments of reflection or warm gatherings with loved ones, she offered empathy, wisdom, and companionship. Her strength and compassion served as a source of comfort and inspiration to her family and friends alike.

She leaves this world having embraced her roles fully, enduring challenges with grace and celebrating joys with heartfelt appreciation. Christina’s memory will be cherished, her absence deeply felt by all who were privileged to know her.

She is preceded in death by her father William Frank Lowery.

During this difficult time, family and friends hold fast to memories of Christina’s warmth, her bright presence, and the enduring love she bestowed upon those closest to her. Her quiet resilience and gentle heart will be remembered always.
