Chester Stanley Pressley

Mr. Chester Stanley Pressley, 79, of Homer, Georgia, passed away on November 6, 2026, in Gainesville, Georgia. Born on June 12, 1947, in Jefferson, Georgia, he was the son of the late Paul Patrick Pressley and Maggie Ruth Martin Pressley. He was retired from Georgia Chair Company, where he worked in furniture manufacturing, and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Rose Lee Pressley; his brothers, Sammy, Carl, Larry, and Jerry; and his sisters, Faylene, Cathleen, Paulette, and Elaine.

He is survived by his sons, Paul Daniel Pressley and Phil Pressley (Virginia); his daughters, Maggie Mae Hollis and Mary Lee Burnett (Randall); 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Pressley will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, with the Rev. Gary Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at Dry Pond Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 9, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Ivie Funeral Home.
