Carol Barnes

Carol Barnes, born on May 3, 1952, in Bridgeton, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at her home on October 25, 2025 in Hull, Georgia, surrounded by her loved ones and pets. She was a beloved figure and an integral part of the community, through her work at Madison County Schools, community service and volunteer work. Carol's love of animals and people made a difference in the lives of many.

Carol was preceded in death by her sister, Sherry Ackerman, as well as her parents, John Ackerman and Bertha Fralinger.

She is survived by her two sons, Brian Barnes and Scott Barnes, as well as her step-son Greg Barnes. They will carry forward her legacy of compassion, dedication, and community spirit. Carol's love for her family was evident in everything she did, and she will be remembered not only for her professional contributions but also for her unwavering support and guidance to those around her.

The memory of Carol Barnes will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her commitment to her community and her family will serve as an everlasting inspiration.
