Billy Ray Massey

Billy Ray Massey, age 74 of Gillsville, GA passed away on Sunday, Dec. 10, 2023.

Born on March 25, 1949 in Madison County, GA, Mr. Massey was the son of the late Charlie and Willie Ruth Powers Massey. He was a construction worker with Bowen & Watson Co., and was preceded in death by sons, Greg Massey, Tony Massey; brother, Charlie Lee Massey; and a sister, Elaine M. Baker.

Survivors include wife, Barbara Hopper Massey; son, Jason Massey; daughter, Charlotte Massey Holland; daughter-in-law, Christy Massey; sister, Margie Adkins; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2 pm Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023 at Ivie Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Winfred Bingham officiating. Burial will follow in Grey Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday 1 pm until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
